- The big one is water. LVT (luxury vinyl) is 100% waterproof top to bottom, so spills, pets, and basement moisture do not hurt it. Laminate has a wood-fiber core that swells if water sits on it. LVT also feels a little warmer and quieter underfoot. - Is LVT flooring really waterproof?
- Yes. The plank itself is 100% waterproof, which is exactly why it is our go-to for Columbus kitchens, baths, laundry rooms, and basements. Water on the surface just wipes up.
